AQUA TERRA to Participate in EPA Hydraulic Fracturing Modeling Study
EPA has undertaken a national study to understand the potential impacts of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water resources. The study includes a review of published literature, analysis of existing data, scenario evaluation and modeling, laboratory studies, and case studies. As a subcontractor to The Cadmus Group, Inc., AQUA TERRA is providing support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in modeling the impact of hydraulic fracturing on water resources based on water acquisition scenarios. EPA will release initial study results in a 2012 report and an additional report at the end of 2014.
