AQUA TERRA to Present at National Military Fish and Wildlife Association Annual Meeting, March 22 - 26, 2010
Post Date: February 1, 2010
MOUNTAIN VIEW - Each year the National military Fish and Wildlife Association (NMFWA) offers an annual meeting for DoD Natural Resources Professionals to discuss challenges and solutions to managing natural resources on their installations. AQUA TERRA Consultants were invited to present a talk at the Climate Change Tools for Adapting Management Strategies Workshop, one of two workshops provided at this year’s meeting. The climate change workshop provided information on tools that inform natural resource managers to adapt management strategies in light of climate change impacts. A summary of the tools and discussions ensued on how and when these tools are appropriately applied to critical natural resource management issues on DoD installations.
The AQUA TERRA’s presentation from the workshop is available on the DoD Natural Resources Conservation Program Workshops website (http://dodworkshops.org/Workshops.html).
To augment AQUA TERRA’s oral presentation on US EPA Climate Assessment Tool, a poster was also presented that highlighted the Monocacy Case Study which applies the US EPA Climate Assessment Tool to a watershed in Maryland to determine the watershed sensitivity to changes projected from climate modeling experiments.
