Who is AQUA TERRA?
AQUA TERRA is a dedicated team of scientists, engineers and planners who support watershed management decisions around the globe by developing and applying state-of-the-science watershed models.
The AQUA TERRA Story:
AQUA TERRA was established in 1985 as a multi-disciplined environmental consulting and water resources engineering firm. Our founder, Anthony Donigian, is one of the original developers of the Hydrologic Simulation Program – Fortran (HSPF), a premier watershed modeling code. AQUA TERRA has established a reputation, through national-level competition, as a leader in the areas of environmental modeling applications, software development, and applied research for analysis of pollution and water resource management problems. As a successful small business for over 25 years, we offer our clients in business, industry, and government a flexible array of contract vehicles.

Why AQUA TERRA?
AQUA TERRA Consultants is an environmental
consulting firm comprised of scientists and engineers with a broad
range of expertise and experience with characterization of natural
and anthropogenic systems, ranging from hydrologic and water
quality modeling at the watershed scale to analysis of site
specific stormwater detention facilities. Established in 1985,
AQUA TERRA is a multi-disciplined environmental consulting and
water resources engineering firm with clients in business,
industry, and government. Since its formation, AQUA TERRA has

and resource management problems.
The staff of AQUA TERRA has been responsible
for studies and projects completed for governmental and private
clients throughout the United States. Our staff includes
recognized experts in the fields of exposure assessment, water
quality modeling, environmental software development, hydrology
and nonpoint source pollution evaluation, and provides consulting
services to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S.
Geological Survey, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency
Management Agency, and other federal, local, and private

To support AQUA TERRA's consulting services we
maintain an in-house technical library, as well as a large library
of commonly used computer programs. Our staff have collectively
developed, enhanced, received training in, or applied in excess of
50 modeling tools. While we pride ourselves on effective and
appropriate use of all these modeling tools, we have over the
years selected a preferred suite of modeling tools and developed expanded
expertise in their use. Programming support for developing new or
customized software is provided by a staff drawing from various
engineering and scientific disciplines (environmental, civil,
chemical) as well as mathematics and computer science. Staff have
experience in using FORTRAN 90, C, C++, Java and Visual
Basic. Geographic information systems (GIS) needs are met by using
Arc/Info, ArcView and MapObjects LT.
