Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
AQUA TERRA assisted CH2M Hill in the development of TMDLs for a
variety of pollutants for water bodies in two of the seven
watersheds that are listed on the State of Illinois' current two
year schedule for completion. AQUA TERRA performed the following
tasks to support the TMDL development effort:
- Reviewed and evaluated the watershed characterization and source assessment data and materials that were developed to support the TMDL development process,
- Reviewed the modeling assumptions and strategy that were developed by CH2M Hill,
- Performed hydrologic calibration of the HSPF model for both watersheds, and prepared WDM files that supported an application of the model within the scenario generation tool GenScn,
- Provided review of water quality model calibrations for the study watersheds as performed by CH2M Hill, and
- Reviewed the draft TMDL reports submitted to Illinois EPA.
